The Boston Bruins weren't supposed to be here. Wait, I mean the Philadelphia Flyers aren't supposed to be here. Wait…what?

Yes, thats right. The top 5 teams in the East have been sent packing, only the bottom three seeds remain, two of them play on Friday night.

Imagine, Philly needed a play in game to even make the playoffs, and drew the #2 seed in the East, the 103 point getting, 191 goals against New Jersey Devils…along with uber goaltender Martin Brodeur.

Not a great recipe for success for a team that stumbled their way into the post season.

But alas, the Flyers were not alone in their lack lustre entrance into the playoffs, The Boston Bruins struggled with devastating injuries all season long. They struggled to score for the whole 2009-2010 campaign, and the sonly silver lining was their always stellar defence and goaltending, well from half way through the season when Tuukka Rask took the reigns between the pipes. His amazing 1.97 GAA and .931 save percentage both led the league, and with super Defensemen Zdeno Chara holding court at the blue line, the pesky Bruins hung around all season long.

So now its Pesky vs Upstart in a Game 7.

Surprisingly, home ice was not a good spot for the Bruins during the regular season, though they have improved tremendously in the playoffs.

These are two of the grittiest team you will watch play. They grind out every minute of every shift.

The fact that the Flyers are trying to be the first team since 1975 to come back from a 3 game deficit in a playoff series. A nearly impossible feat, but a testament to their grit and determination. 

But eventually, you can no longer rely on your moxy, and the opponent coming up short. In the last 2 games of this series, Boston has only scored one goal, a number that will not continue at home in game seven.
