NHL Wednesday Preview

Three games on the board in the NHL tonight, and all three series are on the verge of becoming one-sided.

The evening kicks off at 7pm EST as the Washington Capitals (-168) play their second game in Montreal against the struggling Canadiens (+155).

Washingtons Alexander Ovechkin is coming off a dominating game after starting the series very slow, and has silenced his doubters by turning up his game in the last two match ups.

The Canadiens need to take a game at home after stealing game one from the Caps, and find themselves in deep on their home ics. A loss tonight heading back to Washington would almost certainly mean certain doom for the Habs.

The puck drops almost simultaneously in Boston, as the Bruins (-120) look to take a stranglehold in their series against the Buffalo Sabres (+111). As a considerable underdog heading into the series, Boston has out hustled and out-muscled their way into a 2 -1 series lead over the Sabres.

Bostons netminder Tuukka Rask has been spectacular thus far in the series, and solving him is the only way the Sabres can expect to get back into this series.

And finally, at 10PM set out west, the Los Angeles Kings (+102) host Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks (-110). The Canucks gold medal winning goaltender is coming off a game where he was pulled in the second period. The Canucks have had no answer for the Kings amazing power play who have converted on 7 out of 12 chances in this series. The Canucks are doing their best to stay out of the penalty box, but with a penalty kill that is performing that terribly, it really doesn't matter.
