NHL Friday 2 Game Parlay

Ottawa Senators (+140) at Buffalo Senators (-160)

On a light Friday night in the NHL, the Ottawa Senator and Buffalo Sabres will be the marquee matchup for NHL Betting fans. With much left to decide this season, it's still possible that the Senators and Sabres could meet in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. With that being said, the Sabres will need to find a way to win one as they are marred in an eight-game losing streak against their Northeast Division rivals. They better figure it out now because if they’re still looking for a way to beat Ottawa in the playoffs, they are already beat.

Although the Senators have handled Buffalo this season, and over the past five seasons in general, if the Sabres can lock up their first win of the season against Ottawa, it would all but end Ottawa's division title hopes. The Senators and Sabres will get things going from the HSBC Arena at 7:35 PM EST.

Take Buffalo to finally get the monkey off their back at -160 in the NHL Sportsbook.

Minnesota Wild (+220) at Detroit Red Wings (-260)

Also at 7:30 PM EST The Detroit Red Wings and Minnesota Wild will face off in a Western Conference showdown. With Detroit fighting tooth and nail to secure a playoff seed, they’ll really need to bring their A-game as Minnesota brings in every night despite their playoff chances being pretty much zilch.

Mathematically, the Wild are still in the hunt, as they will be nine points behind the Red Wings for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference when the meet up Friday. If you think they’re just going to mail in the points, think again as they've won five of their last eight. To prove my point about how hard the Wild are still playing, they took out Philly on Thursday night with a 4-3 overtime win. It was a game in which Minnesota trailed 3-1 at the start of the third period and willed their way back for the tie and eventual win.

Detroit is coming off a 4-2 win over St. Louis on Wednesday, and should be a well rested and prepared for the Wild. This will be the fourth and final meeting between the Wings and Wild, who split games in Minnesota back in January while Detroit prevailed in the most recent matchup, 5-1, at Joe Louis Arena earlier this month.

With a Red Wing win over the Wild, they'll take a six-point lead over the Calgary Flames who lost to the Islanders on Thursday night. If Detroit wins, the Flames will be in a pretty much must-win situation when the face the Bruins in an afternoon game in Boston, a team that is fighting for their playoff lives themselves.

With so much on the line, take Detroit to take out a tired Minnesota team quite handily. Play the puckline (-1 ½) to get the Wings at +110.
